Synchro mechanism
Allows the user to fix or free float the angle of the seat and back rest together – usually in a ratio of 2:1, so for every one degree the seat tilts, the back rest tilts two degrees. Synchro chairs can be fixed in several comfortable positions. The tension control knob can be adjusted to match your body weight. Synchro mechanisms also have an ‘anti-shock’ safety facility which means you are not thrown forward when the mechanism is unlocked.
